Indonesian Courts

Are as hot as hell, especially when you have to wait 2 hours for the case to start. Today's witness was a prisioner from Melbourne, John Ford, I could barely hear his evidence, however I did hear him say that he overheard conversations about a drug deal going wrong and that some Aussie kid (Schapelle) will now take the rap for it going wrong.

John Ford, seemed really nervous but was clear in his answers, I was concerned cause he didn't drink much water while testifying, and apparently he was quite ill after leaving.

I once again met up with her family, who are just very ordinary people put into an extroardinary circumstance. The case will resume next week, and I fully intend on being there to give a bit of moral support.

Lombok was great, just like Bali was 20 years ago, I will definately be back there some day.

Flying in Indonesia!

Sometimes it happens and sometimes it doesn't, got to the airport this morning to head over to Lombok, and was told "flight cancelled, come back at 3 o'clock", tried to get a standby flight on another airline but they were fully booked, so we are back at the hotel for a few hours killing time before I hope we finally go.

I hear we also made it on to the 7.30 report the other evening. I hope that we cann attend the trial again on Tuesday or Thursday and see the prisioner from Melbourne testify.

Safe and Sound in Bali

Arrived yesterday at about 2.30pm, have spent the time so far aclimatising and trying to wind down. Last night dinner was at an old favorite the Legian Garden, great value. However after all the travelling we were pretty stuffed and were in bed by about 9.30pm.

Today was a trip to Makro, (massive supermarket warehouse) to stock up on essentials. Dinner at Bamboo Corner, now heading back to the hotel for a bit of R & R.

Leaving on a Jet Plane!

In 14 hours time we will be winging our way to Bali, the land of the Gods. I can't promise that I will be posting while we are away. I always go away with all the intentions of keeping the blog up to date but other things like the beach, bintang, pool and shopping just seem to get in the way.

Thanks to all that have emailed and sms'd good wishes for our trip, I can assure you that we will have a ball.

Bye for now!

The AFL X Men

Went to the launch of a new website today, it was launched by the AFL X Men who are the past players association. The new site is Footyzone it's isn't quiet finished yet but looks like it will be quite good when it is all done. Rubbed shoulders with Ron Barassi, Michael Long to name a few.

Busy trying to tie up the last bits and peices at work, and trying to get over the air conditioning bug that I have caught from my office.

Missed the blogger meet up last night in the city, sorry folks, but trying to get the health back on track is taking priority.

And I have lined up someone to make sure my comments pages don't go into overdrive while I am away, thanks Mr Lefty

What a mother does for her child!

On the eve of her 40th Birthday, she takes her child to watch his team Carlton, win the Wizard Cup, at least she got to read a substantial amount of her current book, and relax at the same time.

Next time it would be appreciated if VLine would tell passengers that they don't follow a timetable, the timetable is that the train leaves 30 mins after the game finishes, at least the child would have been able to see the "bloke who can't kick" Fevola get his medals.

BBQ happening in about 12 hours time, better get some zzzzz's

Another Grand Prix over!

There have been 10 of these in Melbourne, and I have yet to go to one. It's just not something that excites me, although I watch it on TV, whilst reading etc... I just can't sit for over a hour watching cars going around and around. This years GP seemed to not have any high drama, Webber finished, but don't ask me where he finished.

Had a very pleasant day yesterday, close friends of mine "tied the knot" in a lovely backyard (well it was in the backyard till it started raining) wedding. It was quite informal, the marriage celebrant, who I have known for a number of years, sang Ave Maria, it was just gorgeous. Took heaps of pictures but due to recent activity on my blog, I won't post them, instead if anyone is interested in seeing them email me and I'll point you to where they are stored.

Well, the recent activity in my comments has once again been of a scurrilous nature, seems that those who support "The Jacks of Sunbury" are people of such worthy character that they post comments like "when it cums to your kids they need to be bashed sensless the orrible littlle mongrels" Indeed lovely attitude, if I had friends of this nature, they very quickly wouldn't be friends. It all really just points to their character and lack of integrity.
