Ok, I realise that advertising is a quirky trade, but the use the slogan "Where the Bloody Hell are you?" as the latest gimmick seems to me to be a bit kitch. This came out on the same day that aspiring PM, never to be, Peter Costello blasted one of his colleagues for reading the standard Citizenship statement that is read out everywhere.
My mate Sean and I got tickets to the Split Enz concert today, Sunbury Ticketek agency is not very busy and we were first in line and scored 3rd row tickets.
Friday night till mid afternoon today saw me at the Hume Councillors Planning Weekend. Very intense, a lot of thinking and contemplating, but at the same time it gave me the opportunity to get to know some of the Councillors I didn't know all that well.
But on reading a number of blogs tonight, I won't really bother. Suffice to say that I am happy with the vote in the Pariament today. I was listening to Sharman Stone this afternoon on the radio and for a Lib she made good sense with her positive argument.
Those close to me know that my mum has been waiting to have an operation on her spine. The operation was scheduled for tomorrow, unfortunately it's been postponed for 2 weeks. We are greatful that the original wait wasn't the one year as predicted, however to be called the morning before it's scheduled and told it's off is very disheartening for everyone.
I had a little function at home last night, just 40 close friends. Given that the family is a bit busy with a few things at the moment, I was looking at making the affair as easy as possible, so for the first time ever I used a Caterer and I must say that they were fantastic. I opted to just have the food delivered and we sought the assistance of a neighbours daughter to serve it. If you are ever looking for some really good and cheap catering, I would definately recommend Catering on the Move
Broady Boy does well! Eddie Everywhere McGuire is the new CEO of Channel 9. Eddie does hail from Broadmeadows, he is from a very typical working class background. He has a great view of Social Justice that I hope he takes to Channel 9 with him.
